On the first Wednesday of each month, from 10 AM to 4 PM, local business owners and entrepreneurs have the opportunity to receive free consulting with Kurt Forster, Center Manager for the Florida SBDC at Pinellas County Economic Development.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR CONSULTING SESSION

The business consulting sessions are designed to provide you with professional guidance and practical strategies to accelerate your business growth. Here’s what you can expect when you schedule a session with a Florida SBDC consultant:

Respect and Professionalism

Consultants are punctual, prepared, and dedicated to listening to your needs while offering valuable suggestions and information.

Guidance, Not Execution

While the consultant will walk you through processes like writing a business plan, understanding financials, or navigating government contracts, they won’t execute these tasks for you. Instead, they provide you with the knowledge and tools to do so effectively.

Confidentiality

All information shared during your consulting sessions is kept strictly confidential.

Follow-Up and Support

Consultants will follow up as needed and requested to ensure you stay on track with your business goals.

Kurt brings over 30 years of business experience and holds a master’s degree in communication. His diverse background includes roles as a marketing director, college educator, economic development professional, and business owner. His specialties include:

Be Prepared

Complete any assignments or research before your session and arrive on time.

Engage Fully

Treat your consultant’s time with respect by being punctual and prepared. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours in advance.

Stay Involved

After your initial session, provide feedback through surveys and share any business achievements you’ve accomplished with SBDC assistance.
